Festival Forecasts

Festivals are all about spending time with good friends, checking out your favourite musicians and hopefully enjoying a drink or two in the sunshine. However, thanks to the unpredictable British weather, a lot of trips can end up being more washout than blowout. But which festivals in the UK have the highest forecast of rain? Does it really always rain at Leeds festival? Where should wellies and pac-a-macs be a staple part of your festival wardrobe, and where can you leave them in the tent?

To find out, and help you get festival ready, we analysed 87 years of historic Met Office rainfall data to work out the percentage chance of rain at each of the UK’s biggest festivals this year. Whether you’ve already picked up your weekend ticket, or you’re still trying to pick a day to go, use the full table below to find the forecast for your favourite festival.

When you’re out and about seeing this year’s biggest acts, you need probably need to be prepared for all weather scenarios. If you’re leaving the tent in the morning for a full day of music and mud, we’d recommend one of our backpacks for women to make sure you can comfortably fit in the essentials like water, a light jacket, like a kaftan and – most importantly – sun cream. If you’re heading back out in the evening after a quick rest-stop, throw your phone and purse in one of our cross body bags – the finishing touch to your festival personal festival look.
